  1. Damian and Hazel , James and David. I appreciate your kind words and thoughts but it is a blessing dad is at rest since it was painful to visit him the past two days since he could not speak and well yesterday I don't know if he knew us. I had a preminition he was going to die the day of the 22nd Fraserburgh rally. He has attended that event for 20 years so I think mum and me need to donate an Ed Cruickshank memorial shieild or cup.....and well it has to be for the Best Farmall or International since well he has helped me restore all my three Farmalls and polished the brasses maticiously on them at the shows.
  2. Joe, Thanks but dad has had a good life and 16 good years of retirement before the illnesses he has had over the past two years. Bill
  3. My dad passed away at 20.40 pm today and despite the times we visited him over the past 5 weeks we were not there to see him go........but hey ho Ed is at peace at last.......5 weeks after his 83 birthday.. He has attended almost 20 of the vintage shows at Fraserburgh over the past 22 years so I think in his memory we will need to donate an Ed Cruickshank Memorial Trophy or Shield for the best polished brasses or the best Farmall or International since he died on the day of the 22nd rally. RIP Ed...we will meet again...don't know where ..don't know when
  4. A few buys yesterday. 2 x 4 meter x 2 meter willow "fencing" in a a Costco deal for less then £ 60 with a £ 10 voucher I got for a email fight about a double charge last week. That was in addition to getting a refund on my card and also sending me a cheque but I can't cash that. A spare recoil starter for my and dad's Howard 350 since the ropes break at busy times A replacement throttle cable for dad's 350 A replacement Tom Tom from Costco.....the last one kept losing GPS signal

  10. Yes I sometimes get that problem with PB and I have no idea why but I would like to know why as well.
  11. They are the Roll's Royce of trailer's in my opinion Harry...I have had a twin axle 2 ton gross since 1992 and looks like new apart from new wheel rims and tyres
  12. Surprisingly not Barry since they don't do those one...however the green retaining straps did
  13. A Qualcast Classic Petrol 35S Cylinder Lawnmower or well now badged Allett Classic Petrol 14S Petrol mower. It arrived at my folks last Wednesday and mum was concerned the box would get wet since the delivery driver could not get it through the garage side door. Well I simply took a stanley knife and cut it out of the box and rolled it into the garage since I was still suffering with my back. Today I took it home and since it was raining again so I used the box to save it getting wet

Not as bad as Iain's earlier photos but these were taken on the way to work today. There was a car stuck here on Friday and the road was closed for some time.

    The Snow Topic

Just a light dressing of over 6 inches in comparison in Aberdeenshire ...thaw on yesterday and off the roof so that is good it will save removing the gutters as it did at the front a couple of years ago. But now freezing Visibility not good cannot see Bennachie 's "Mither Tap" circa 1,733 feet
  20. A Karcher K5 power washer which was on offer from Costco for £ 215.98. First I had to return my Karcher K6800 Ego which I bought last July and was the worst washer I ever had. The detergent was unwilling to flow and the plastic holder always came off when you tried to push in the detergent holder. To crown it all when you took it inside to avoid frost it leaked detergent. Well shot of that one and got refund of £ 335.98 so well pleased with a new washer and £ 120 cash back

    The Snow Topic

There was no snow on ther ground when I left home this morning but it was starting to snow and was bitterly cold with the wind. The temperature was above freezing so time to use the back roads again I thought. The first half of the jorney was fine but then as I climbed out of Skene and towards the Woogle crossroads there was quite a lot of drifts but nothing to stop me. A little further on before a down hill and a series of thee 90 degree bends I saw a car coming so I stopped and waited and waited...then I saw hazzards on so this car was stuck. About turn back to Woogle and then to Blackburn and then up the A96....I should have gone the main road to Aberdeen and round the ring road but hey ho I got there safe and sound and only 10 minutes longer than normal
