JC
It's just about been banned as far as I'm aware, last time I knew there were only 4 sites in the country with a licence to pressure treat timber with creosote and they are limited as to how much they can actually do in any twelve month period. One of these plants is on JDC's doorstep as I've done some work on it in the past.
Deere-est
Have you got any creosote?? Yeah got a drum of it in the garage, all my other wooden bit's have been brushed over with it so I'll carry on the trend with this. Why the hell did they ban the bloody stuff? Deere-est
Trissy matey how did you reach up to put the roof on?? I don't see any ladders?? : ??? :D Rickmeister I'll have none of that round here young man!! I stood on a wet pallet on my Ford 6600 with loader and a pice of wooden railing to hold the loader up. Had to leave it in gear coz the handbrake don't work. Proper safe mind!!

Why the hell did they ban the bloody stuff? Its a wee bit nasty, being carcenagenic is its main problem I would think, its also got a lot of benzines in it and it doesn't degrade as far as I know. Deere-est
Been farting around a bit what with the new shed arriving, this is kind of the shape the farmyard will take too. Where the two Atcost sheds are will be an old stone/wood barn running length ways from the bottom of the photo to the top. The entrance will be between this and the new barn. Field access via gate to the left and on to the rear between the long barn and the workshop. This small area will be gated to allow fly spraying, worming of cattle etc in the spring and summer and maybe other cattle duties. A long way to go but now you have an idea of where it is going. Once I have this somewhere hand I will begin a full new modern yard to one side of it so there is timeline of farming to follow through the display. If your going to make plans, make'em big!!! Deere-est
looking good tris, havnt seen them all together before , Me niether!! They will all be individually based so it can be moved. The big barn will be removed from this display and put in the next one, replaced by a dutch barn. Closer to the era of the yard. It is a lovelly shed though, Farmermarshall did himself proud.
