And how did the muck get up on the tank lid? Maybe it's the 60k version and he ran through some deep puddles on the way to the field?
malcy_p
My Tucano 570 from Germany finally arrived this morning. Lovely model, apart from those daft hinges and the *very* stiff hydraulic rams for the header lift. Don't like the look of the "weathered" Tucano either... Anyway, a few photos of the Conspeed header, and some with a modified UH V750 too. /malc. (If this sort of thig was posted elsewhere on here I apologise!) malcy_p
Just took the wheels off to free up the header lift rams, and spied the other thing that came from German this week on the bench, so thought I'd try this... wonder if it will ever happen in real life! Also, with the Tucano upsidedown I saw another opening feature of the model I hadn't seen before! /m.
chris.watson
Very nice Malc .Shame about the tank lid hinges. Will have to address that when my one arrives. Probably paint them white so they don't stand out as much.
Pete
Nice models but yes shame on the hinges....
Tractorman810
I guess with mass production painting may cause sticking or stuck issues as it would be machine done, you can't keep the paint away from the pins of the hinges Like you can by hand, not that long ago everyone was moaning that they never opened

There are alternatives available - first off is my own effort, then PMA32s version, and lastly the Wiking Hingus Maximus style. /malc.
Tractorman810
With a steady hand they can be painted, robots ain't steady when it comes to detailing I guess they wouldn't go smaller either as they could break, smallest hinges I have seen were the ones on the roof sign of the uh Renault egos, and the very first time I lifted it,yeah you guessed it the hinge broke, pin just sheeted as it had glue or paint in it
