Anderson Agri
Collected this 1963 Fahr KS8D rake today. Quite a rare piece in the UK very few were sold. Future resto to go behind the Allis
robbo
I remember using a very similar rake many years ago. You couldn't use it at full pto speed or it would throw the grass underneath the side catcher canvas. If you the lowered the canvas arm it would catch on the ground and bend out of shape. Anderson Agri
Didn't intend to be adding another to the collection today but a message from a friend and an offer too good to pass has now resulted in the aquisition of a 1939 bow axle Allis Chalmers B. Very early one from 3rd year of production. Absolute little gem I'm well happy
Valley Axe Man
Nice Zac... think you needs to concentrate on that shed now and get some of these girls under cover give them a bit of cover from the elements
Anderson Agri
Yea mate that's the trouble. All the old ones are under cover in other sheds just a couple left outside for the moment. Was hoping to get it done over Easter but lack of wood available means it's been halted

Anderson Agri
That sounds about right. I've put offers in on a few big sheds but only had people mess me around after I've committed else I would have had a barn by now. Really annoying but is what it is

Anderson Agri
Finally chance for the 7710 to show what it's made of at silage. Hopefully going on rake tomorrow or Saturday if needed. Even gave it a good wash this evening
844john
Looks very well now Zac, wish we had some grass up here to cut. Enjoy the raking...that's the best job of the lot at silage time (after mowing, that is)!

This is my normal setup but might need a 4tj tractor on trailers for further ground and mine was just sitting there so fits the bill if the need is there Edited May 15, 2020 by Anderson Agri

Anderson Agri
Well after spending 10 hours in the old girl yesterday she didnt miss a beat! Might have been a bit hotter and louder than my normal tractor and used a bit more diesel but it brought a smile to my face, couldn't have asked for anymore from it.
Anderson Agri
After struggling a bit and feeling down on power i decided to get the old girl dyno tested. She was putting out 53.5hp, should be 97!! Definately room for improvement and few things to service and tweak to get it right again. Panel was off as did a second test with no air filter which only gained a further 4hp.
