powerrabbit
Went to a fairly local farm sale today, friend of mine selling off his rubbish and a few better things. Ransomes 'Robin' 2 furrow plough, good useable order and painted made £480. Massey Ferguson 4 furrow grey plough, set to 18", front furrow bent, bits missing and a very worn cross-shaft, made £230. Lister D 1ph stationary engine, running really well, unrestored made £120. Nuffield DM3 with Horndraulic front loader, non-runner, left outside for a few years made £550. Massey Ferguson 1958 35 with flat top mudguards and Lambourne safety cab, good runner, looked rough made £1850. No buyers premium, VAT charged on the farm items. Leakeyvale
I FINALLY MOVED into my new home and it went pretty smoothly. Completion happened on my sale before 10:00 am! Removals men could not get access until 2:00 ish because the outgoing occupants were still moving their stuff out. What have I been doing? Guess what - unpacking boxes and boxes and boxes.... but it is worth it. Sellers gave me a bottle of wine and the neightbour on one side brought me some tomatoes. Made me feel really welcome

bigbear
Bought a very nice painting of a saddleback sow from Kirsten Elswood, a local artist who specialises in country/animal paintings. I also bought an oil painting of a running hare by her, but can't take it home until the varnish is dry. Mrs Bigbear bought a pencil drawing of some cherries. Total cost? Less than £100. Not bad for three original paintings, I think! All I've got to do now is find somewhere to hang them... Not easy in a 450 year old cottage with no vertical walls at all! Gav836
Had an unexpected day off today due to one of the main pumps going on the potato harvester last night so I've spent the day working on my Defender fitting the snorkel and roof mounted light/cb aerial bar. I've also finally got the passenger door to shut properly, someone in the past had over tensioned the push button release rod so it was always trying to release the door catch. In the past week I've also had a set of BFG Mud Terrains fitted, looks a lot better now in my opinion!

bigbear
Yesterday, I had a very nice day at the WETC Transport Open day on Winkleigh Aerodrome. Lots to see and mooch about. Unusually for me, I didn't buy a single thing from the hangar! Mrs Bigbear almost fainted with surprise when I got back with an empty bag...
