I would of liked another cut if possible Smithy, but looking at the forcast there's no rain here for the foreseeable future and we need the foggs to spain the lambs onto in August/September, so it's not looking too likely at the moment. Looks some lovely  hay you've made mind!

Yes we have made some nice hay are shed back home is full to which to wife is pleased about and all my horsy customer that I make hay for are happy with the quality but are all down a bit on the quantity

look like tucannos to me smithy, prob practising for some air show on the 100 years thing, they used to do it down this way out of st mawgan or newquay, but they closed the fixed wing training and sent it up your way somewhere a few years back, nothing but choppers out of there now bar odd days when jets visit

Productive day today,

Got the power steering and hydraulics on my Leyland 262 fixed today, turned out to be simple things, such as lack of power steering fluid! Also managed to drain and replace oil filter and gave it a service. Just to sort the brakes out and fix the seat and its all good to go :)

This weather is very reminiscent of 1976, I was only an 11 yr old then and I can remember dads back lawn (his pride and joy) being frazzled to a crisp!!    I also remember he bought the Beach Boys 20 greatest hits which came out that year and we all loved it so much it became the sound of summer 76:)...…………………………...And isn't it strange in this swelteringly hot summer that the very same songs have just been  remixed by the Royal Philharmonic orchestra and are now getting lots of airplay on radio 2!!!   Hows that for an anomalyB).

Just wish Radio 2 would play more than just one song off the new album though Phil.

Extremely, even the black grass looks sick in the field behind the host farm. Think you’re suffering more here than we have been back in Norfolk until this week, starting to hear the words spring barley and write off in the same sentence a lot now.

Early crop potatoes here are only yielding 30% to 50% of normal. Main crop looking okay for now, but urgently need a week or two of rain.

Long range forecat not seeing much rain out to October.

Hosepipe ban came into effect today.

Great photos Paul, thanks for taking the time to shoot them and share them on here, a grand selection of very well turned out tractors there, the gen III 76 and 7810 together are a grand sight.
