Tractorman810 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 tied in to fnhirs best tractor topic for you whats the best implement britains has produced so far for me the ransoms spud harvestor, superbly detailed if a little fragile working belts spins for road transport, in its day to me it was real, a proper show of what britains of old could do in a toy, Quote
Lord Ferguson Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Well for me.... it has to be the MF muck spreader.... I'm not sure why... but I really love it.. that moving belt.. and it's got Massey Ferguson on it Mind you... the 200 trailer takes some beating as well - robust and functional \ Quote
FB Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 i agree Sean, that was one classy piece of kit!, went well with the MF200 trailer!. Mashio power harrow was good as was the Massey drill, Everad sprayer as well.....hours i would spend with them ......sure there are others \ Quote
ihatepoundland Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'd have to go with the Mashio power harrow or the Bamfords bailer because they functioned pretty much as close to the real thing as they could have. Quote
britainsnut Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I would say the maschio power harrow but i never owned this when i was younger but always wanted it. My favourite out of what i had was the W. Cooper folding discs, nothing special but there was just something about them i liked especially hooked up to my 145-14 Quote
Deerepower Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 think would have to be the sima solo for me Quote
dwain Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 think would have to be the sima solo for me now that i would have to agree Quote
SIMON. Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 the old blue yard scraper on the front of a GREEN 6600 simple but effective many a hour spent carpet farming with that ;D ;D Quote
britainsdk Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I like the Super Faun potato harvester, and the Benac 3000 wagon, don?t know why, maybe the excitement, from playing whit them, whit out breaking them Quote
Deere-est Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'd agree with Sean on the spud harvester, closely followed though by the Accord air drill. The Nordsten drill would have fair higher if not for the silly bout markers on it!! Quote
Lady Ferguson Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Faun potatoe harvester definitely.... with Nordsten Seed drill second, and the Simba Solo in third for me Quote
SPN Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Benac 3000 wagon, Kverneland Plough, Alfa Laval Tanker and red New Holland Baler were all "Wow! " items in their day for me. Quote
bremner_metallica Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 mmmmm ether the silage buckrake or the marston or the keenan Quote
gogreengelb Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Gotta be the Simba Solo for me, damm good for trhe money Quote
David Brown 1410 power! Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 The one that attracks me the most altough i havent got one yet is the john deere mower what a great looking replica of the real machine we use to have a john deere mower a good machine except for the mounting i think thats why my father got rid of it! Quote
Lord Ferguson Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Take a look at this and tell me you don't love it Quote
pj witch Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 not bad but i perfer the MF drill and the simba solo Quote
Tractorman810 Posted September 29, 2007 Author Posted September 29, 2007 Yeah the mf spreader is good along with the 130 drill and all sorts but to me the ransoms spud harvestor is uh quality years before uh came about pinicle of britians hey day 2 me Quote
dwain Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Take a look at this and tell me you don't love it it is a good model and the way it looks and the way it all works i think it was ahead of its time that is why i also think it is one of the best implement to date Quote
tractorman314 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Torn between the Electric Lister Elevator , or Bamford BL58 Baler both great working models when new. tractorman314. Quote
BGU Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The New Holland 940 baler - or any of the balers that actually work! Quote
Deere-est Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I have to admi that I am surprised at the response the Simba Solo has got. It does look good admittedly but it doesn't fold up properly \ Quote
BGU Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The rams on our Simba solo - keep jamming as they are too short to extend properly!! Quote
the other green Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The square balers when they worked (depended on what your Mum had for a living-room carpet we always said) and the Lister bale elevator. You could bale and stack hay all day, just like Dad. I can remember always having to have a buckrake on our model farm. I think we always had a buckrake and an MF 135 as "constants" on our carpet farms. Quote
FNHIR Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Has a real-life representation of that manure spreader ever been found though? Quote
