Deere-est
Excellent, Britains should have made these modular so you could add in legs, sheets etc. Looks much more feasable as a barn now.

Jez
Thanks guys, got the roof on now and here are some pics of the roof trusts for FB ;) I'm not so sure about the overlap but for an old shed it will do. Going to brush the roof with black paint to age it a bit.

Jez
cheers Jez, was curious how they all fitted together once the purlins were staggered, \ \...just stuck on then? Yes mate, they aren't square but hopefully it will add to the character ;) Yeah, the middle purlins and sheets are glued together, a better job could be done with some more care but this won't be a brand new shed so it should be ok. When are you starting?

Jez
Well the shed has come on quite a bit today. I sprayed the roof with black spray buit just left enough green showing to look old. I have the floor done and the yard sprayed too. Pictures are better than words:

Deere-est
Certainly benefited from the JAG treatment mate. A much better job
Tractorman810
how easy did you find it to join them jez?? i looked at something like that a while abck but when i put them together it left a gap between each one, would have ment trimming the roof pannels down
FB
he overlapped them Sean. The other way i guess is to fix them so you dont use the purlins supplied, but maybe use some plastruct sections instead \ On my large shed, if i wanted to Sean, i could remove the rear panel and make it longer as i fixed the purlins to half the width of the main frame for the future ;)
Tractorman810
makes sence mate, i was loking for a perminate one, but made it instead ,didnt want to waste the pannels i had spare
Light Land
What are you going to put in there Jez? bales of hay and the likes?
Jez
Thanks for all the comments guys, I am glad my personal touch has made a good impression. As for the internal of the shed, you cab see sean that the centre bay roof is higher than the other but does not lok out of place in my mind. And yes Ben they are shy hooks holding it up. A bit out of line with the rest of the uprights but we can blame the years and ground movement :D I will probably surrond the uprights with a bit of polly fillay to look like they are well set in. Oly, I am thinking about putting some cattle in there but may use it for straw and machinery too sometimes. I will have home made feed barriers along the lower side that will be where i can feed silage. Pics soon, the final feed barrier is just drying. Until the next installment,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;)
smallclaas
Looking good Jez, very nice build looking forward to seeing the complete finish. I often thought about doing something with the Britains Atcost shed, now I think I just might.
