  1. That's the Campus oil depot just outside New Ross
  2. I'd have to say that's a great tractor. I'm a big fan of those four cylinder Valtras, I think the 6650 is 110hp, but I can never remember exactly \. The HiTec ones are much nicer to drive than the standard ones, what kind of one were you offered? 4cyl ones are probably a bit light for 20ft silage trailers though \. This one has not given any major problems in 4500 hrs since 2001. The biggest things were a leaky seal in the brake valve unit at the rear which is prone to leak on them but is dead easy to replace because the unit is very accessible above the rear linkage. Also theres a sensor on top of the gearbox under the cab that gives trouble if it gets wet and had to be changed. A little care with the power washer and it'll be fine . Potentially the biggest problem was a failed 4wd kingpin bearing, but we replaced that when the hub casting was replaced due to an accident. Retro fitting grease nipples will prevent this from happening. I've seen a good few that have been dogged by contractors and they hold up well, the engines and gearboxes are bombproof.
  3. I have it at home, not too bad this month. I might bring it up next weekend if you're good :D
  4. eh??? No-one forces anyone to read anything on here, or so I've been told
  5. You can use some of those photo hosting sites such as photobucket or the Google one to upload videos to your private album, or you can set your videos private on Youtube: http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=59208
  6. Finding my 2Gb USB key that I lost last week and thought was gone forever :)
  7. I'm sure it had some help along the way though eh Tris???
  8. Yes indeed, I see a few there that I must look out for myself. Good choice of brand juice and nice collection
  9. Nice sign Marky, just don't hang it over your front door, you might get all sorts turning up on your doorstep!! :D
  10. If you make it I practically guarantee you will sell it, probably for a good price too. There are plenty of people out ther without the time or skills to do it themselves
  11. Much better is if you can wing the crow and catch it, then string it up live by one leg, all the fluttering scares off the rest of them. It sounds really cruel and I've never done it personally, but it works really well. It can be hard to get a live one though \
  12. Simon M doesn't get a sore throat, sore throat gets Simon M though, right?? :D
  13. Just the 1530 I'm afraid, and then not very much
  14. I usually let my farher drive the NH 1530 combine, he can't give out if its done wrong then!!! Myself and my brothers look after straw and cattle as well as delivering the grain to the merchants or the shed for storage. Usually a bit of baled silage to be done that time of the year as well. The silage contractor usually drived the forager himself, or else his son, but he is generally on the pit.
  15. Thank Tris, will pop up a few photos when it's done. Won't be till the end of May though :'(
  16. She'll probably never go again Colm so it won't matter too much
  17. This one is owned by the fellow who is painting the shed at the back of our house. It turned up on a 20 foot, four axle plant trailer towed by an 08 Mitubishi Pajero. He was giving out about the clutch slipping in the Pajero, I wonder why!! :D He also has two 2500litre tankers that he tows behind it, together!! Anyway, the Brown is fitted with a kind of work platform on the loader for getting up under the eaves and such like. In absolutely immaculate condition it is said to be his pride and joy, and amazingly it is not covered in overspray from the painting job.It also has a homemade weight permanently attached to the rear linkage, ie welded in place!! Its fitted with the Q type cab with flat floor and pendant pedals, and all the windows are in place. Not a patch on the Ford Q cab in my opinion though \
  18. This: based on the Ertl barge wagon, this one is going in Marshall colours and then on ebay methinks
  19. You may as well stay at home as roll ground too fast, sure you'd only be hitting the ground in spots!!! The roller needs to be given time to press down all the humps and stones. I tend to roll in 6th gear with the Ford 7600 or 6610 at about 1500 rpm, not sure what speed that is but not as fast as 10mph
  20. I think he was trying to throw us off the scent Nigel, there weren't that many options as to what it could be from the photo he showed us
  21. Middle of exams fro me > Is it earlier this year as I was able to make it last year since it was just after my exams?
  22. That looks good. I plan to make one of those, buy I will base it on the 2654 chassis
  23. I voted for blue and cream but I think you should go for john deere colours like the ones mentioned in the silage topic
