  1. I did see that Bednar Swifter over 12 metres width...............somewhere but not in production.
  2. JDautopowers latest video shows the atrocious weather conditions our farmers are up against presently.
  3. Someone needs too make something to go behind it, theres next to nothing for a 500hp Wiking Fendt 1050 too pull let alone the big red beast!!
  4. Good old Graham, always first with Britains releases😎
  5. No one in the UK will have those tyres on their 9S, they will mostly go R34 fronts and R42/710/75 rears, possibly also use the R38/ R44s like some Fendt 900s.
  6. The reason Deere were on strike was that the company were trying to mandate the covid jabs, understandably not everyone working there wanted to have one. Hindsight is increasingly proving they were right to refuse it. Many organisations are now openly taking back staff sacked for refusing the jabs, and rightly so, they should be fully compensated in my view.
  7. UH's blue power colour looks far too light to me, I think Britains t7300 BP paint work is nearer the mark, and Marges on the T7 HDs, both are darker.
  8. Anyone else thinking the new UH NH T7300 looks better in standard livery with the new decals?
  9. Well I accept its my area Gav, but thats a large chunk of East Anglia as my work takes me all over Cambs, Norfolk & West Suffolk. I see a sea of green, loads of Fendt 900s & big JD 8RXs, which have easily outsold the wheeled 8Rs. Our friends at Pretoria energy (Cambridge) run 20 Massey 8740/32S machines now and theres a few more of these & Valtra S sprinkled about on other farms. But I can honestly say I only know of two NH T8s and just the one wheeled Magnum 340 at Glover Agri just down the road, and they had so many problems with it in its first year they tried to trade it in to rival brands but couldn't get a decent offer, so they had to persevere with it. I think its finally settled down now and its a nice machine. I would love to see more magnums about but the ones that Pecks did sell initially were Rowtracs which have mostly been ousted by JDs ridiculously popular 8RX!! Velcourts have a new Rowtrac at Moulton Manor farms but thats it. I suspect suffolk may have sold a few more as that was Goodies patch (Mr CASE) for many years. But check out Ernest Doe website or indeed the Doe show and you will see very few old Magnums or T8s in their yards compared to JD dealers who have plenty of 8 series in most of them.
  10. CASE had high hopes for latest Magnum series but they have bombed!! Anyone wanting that category of tractor goes for Fendt 900, then JD 8R or RX and then a MF 8700S or maybe Valtra S.
  11. Thanks for the options guys, some nice ones there but it needs to have a tow hitch to pull the bowser. I plumbed for the black Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 with the tow hitch as thats the kind of vehicle farm hands use when travelling distances to fuel foragers etc. Its in black which helps hide the fact its LHD which I can live with.
  12. I'm looking for a 4x4 pick up (Not Land Rover) to pull my Braemere fuel bowser but am finding it hard to see anything worthwhile!! Anyone have any suggestions?
  13. Two John Deeres at Sandringham, not sure which ones but probably 6Rs.
  14. Listen to that huge Quaddy snort its way across the field😍
  15. Yes, the cabs are wrong, theyve put the 7726 cab and fenders on them instead of building the whole model from scratch.
  16. 2023 has been a real mixed bag and was mostly typified by the Maize harvest which started late in mid September in ideal dry conditions and finished late in a swampy November! Lessons learned were that one harvester is only good enough if conditions remain ideal throughout the campaign, lesson two is we need to move to increase capacity of harvesting and hauling. We could see the writing on the wall in October when we began drilling wholecrop Rye, so instead of planting 100 acres we upped it to 300 acres which will mean less maize going in and shorten the maize campaign by a few days. In preparation for the increase in Rye we acted quickly to buy a barely used secondhand 5 metre Claas direct disc header from a farm sale up north. We have also ordered a specialist tri axle trailer made by Schuitemaker who are highly recommended on the continent and have a strong dealer presence in the west of the UK. We plan to run this behind one of two tractors that were also ordered back in October. These are both Fendt's, a 500hour ex demo 936 /23 plate from our local dealers TNS and a brand new 728 which has the 60kph gearbox as well. The 936 was delivered just before xmas and was immediatly hitched to the big Bednar chisel plough, and the 728 is currently in TNS yard and will come to us in January. This gives us the extra power and pace to pull the larger trailer and the option for further trailer upgrades if the new tri axle performs as expected. The 936 has the "Fendt One" technology upgrade on it unlike our earlier 936 which now works out from our Suffolk business. We aim to keep our three other 700 gen six Fendts for the time being and also our John Deere 8R.410 & 6250R. We do also have a hired 6R.185 on the team but are unsure weather to keep it or give it back in favour of another bigger 6R in the new year, I will ponder that after xmas. The Jaguar 980 will be with us next year as it is so reliable and hardly ever goes wrong. But I will keep an eye out for a second machine if an exceptional deal can be made. Elsewhere the Lexion 770 sailed through our 2000 acres and also proved reliable, and will be with us in 2024. Our main contractor B.W Legge's are doing more spraying with us next year, they will use their 7S Massey mostly but also have an 8S available for the steeper ground . My team & Bill's went to Agritechnica for two days after the gruelling maize harvest and checked out what's new. Bill liked the look of the new 9S Massey although his 8740 won't be getting traded in anytime soon, and also was surprisingly interested in the new NH T7300 which is similar in size and power to his 8S machines. Bill has gotten increasingly peeved with the electronic niggles on his two 8S models especially the older one which has now clocked 4000hours in 2 1/2 years, as he said its great mechanically but typically french with its dodgy electrical issue's. The dealer has tried to improve things and the newer 8S is better but not perfect, the older machine may be on its way out. Watch this space!
  17. Farmer Andrew Ward filmed that tractor last week on Wardy's Waffle after JD offered him a free trip to mannheim as an incentive to get him to change his NH Combine, Case Puma tractor, socks and underpants over to JD green & yellow🙄
  18. Definately a good model cultivator that Amazone Catros Joe, I'm on my second one now and wont be selling this time round. Easy to hook it on to any brand of tractor too and its rams hold it up well in transport position.
  19. Just thinking, you could easily remove the new NH UH models cab and fenders and replace them with the current T7225 models and rebadge it 7.270 and voila!! you have the model they missed last time round. Mind you I wouldn't bother as the new machines are much nicer than the outgoing ones.
  20. Interestingly I just got back from visiting my local Ernest Doe branch, they have three new BP T7.300s and one of the new T7.270s with the new cab and back end as well. The Salesman told me that two of the 300s were being PDi d and then delivered to a huge local farm. As is usually the case I new more than him😁 and guessed where they were going. The farm in question has 20 off the T7210 models and then six JD 8R, 8RX,9RX models so the T7300s must have been bloody good to keep JD from getting the business. He took me for a tour of a 7300 in the workshop and its very, very nice, especially in BP livery. In fact he didn't think that it was available in standard blue but I told him UH was making both colours available for the 7300 model.
  21. The MF 5S is the best of the UH bunch of new Masseys Sean, its spot on unlike the botched 6 & 7S models and the 8 & 9S with their inaccurate wheels & tyres. Thats why I cannabalised a 5S to make a half decent 7S.
  22. Well some new 6Rs have them and some don't Paul. The new 6R. 185 up the road here doesn't have them as the farmer probably wanted to keep costs down. Not sure if that means green wing mirrors are an extra or not, but they probably are. Heres a pick of one without them on Mascus.
  23. John Deere 6R 250 now in stock at Tractorium & presumably elsewhere very soon.
