  1. Can anyone give an overview of the history of MF seed drills from the 60s through to the 90s? The MF30 was by far the most popular drill around these parts for a very long time. I remember seeing a few older MF29s when I was young, and I've recently come across a couple of MF500s. When were the different models introduced, and what do people think of them?
  2. My resolution is to concentrate on expanding my collection of Basildon Beauties, and to add some more DBP models to my collection. I would also like to add two Scaledown models during the year - a County Super Six and a Massey 65. I'd also like to get to Spalding again this year to pick up some custom made bits and pieces. Most of all, I'd like to have enough spare cash to do all the above.
  3. Until today I would have said the Fendt Xylon, but I bought an Imber 6640 SLE 4wd today and I have to say I am blown away by it. I was pondering a Marge 7610 II, to go with my Brian Norman and DBP 7610 IIs, but I went for the 6640 in the end. Absolutely delighted that I did.
  4. There is a shortnose 1474 with that reg number on the County Register. http://www.county-tractors.co.uk/register.html Top of my wishlist is the County 1174 and County 1184.
  5. SPN has a new car on his carpet farm. BMW E92 335ci Schnitzer ACS3. Well tidy.
  6. My brother hired in a tractor for a job we were working on today. Absolutely immaculate Series III 7710 on 600/65/38s Here's someone else's picture of her.
  7. There are serious economic problems in China, just like everywhere else. The system is broken, and the politicians are too afraid of the bankers to start banging heads together to make them work for us instead of for themselves. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2011/nov2011/chin-n29.shtml Jeremy Clarkson for Prime Minister!
  8. A friend of mine had a Fliegl push-off trailer on trial a couple of years ago. They are very suited for high volume, low mass, materials, such as woodchip. The big advantage of them is the ability to compress the load during filling to maximise the volume being transported. They are also very light trailers - which my friend saw as a problem on Irish roads.
  9. A New Holland TC or TX Combine, and some Grimme or Miedema potato kit.
  10. Picked up my Weise Fendt Xylon this evening. Cracking model.
  11. It has to be Blue. T7.210 and you are laughing.
  12. Superb. Thanks for that. Reckon the Marge will have to go on my shopping list after all.

Just got a text from a friend who is on his way home from Germany with a Xylon in his bag for me. :P :P 8) 8) ;D ;D
  14. Might you do a few photos of the UH and Marge Models 7*10s together so we can see how they compare? Keep up the good work.
  15. Would probably have to be a hybrid with the ERTL TW chassis. Would love a 9700.
  16. I'd leave the weights off. Why would you want to be hauling extra weight around? Diesel is expensive.
  17. That 2wd will be popular - for breaking.
  18. Fabulous, as always. That 3140 is the most realistic I've seen to date.
