  1. Michael has pics up on [url=http://www.farmmodels.net/tractors/caseinternational/caseinternationalpage.html]FarmModels.Net of an MXU on a TTV chassis. I haven't seen one done using a Fendt chassis.
  2. It needs a third axle. If you hit a pothole with 21 tonnes sitting that far forward of the axles, you'd be gone out over the ditch before you knew where you were.
  3. It looks to be the very same as the JQ648G model released by ERTL in 1996. I can't see any difference other than colour.
  4. ..... or TG305s as they are more properly known! Down with this T8000 horlicksology!
  5. There are two New Holland Skid Steers. I think you only have one. The one that is coming to hand for me is the Lx665Turbo. What is yours?
  6. My grandfather had one of these! I never saw it being used for cutting kale, but it made a great bale carrier once we had hacked off the rocker arm in the middle and removed the associated gubbins. We got a toplink off a Massey 35 digger and modified it with a section of box iron and a hair trigger. A very young spn would come down the haggard with a load of bales on't back, stand on the sidebrake just before hitting the elevator, spin the steering wheel, reach back, smack the trigger, the toplink would release, spilling the bales in front of the elevator, drop the hydraulics to lower the buckrake, thus resetting the toplink, and straight back out the gate I came in, and away back to the field for the next 25 bales. All this without touching the clutch! I got very skilled at placing the bales exactly where I wanted them after a while.
  7. Well the County Super6 would anyway. A straight major would prolly need 5th some of the time.
  8. It works fine on this PC which is running IE6, but I have had these problems on PCs with IE7 installed. I've heard that IE7 is a piece of dog dirt, and I've had some problems with navigating my way around it, but Trino is the only site I've come across so far which is just plain broke under IE7. One of these days I'll burn Firefox onto CD and install it on all my PCs.
  9. Looks about right! These Kiwis seem to be quite good at matching tractors to implements - remember KlingonPek's picture of the MX270 and 16 tonne silage trailer the other day?
  10. I'd be interested in stumping up for a pair of Red Rock 18ft trailers, and one 20ft trailer, with grain and removeable silage sides/doors.
  11. Naw, we find the Ford 6640 is plenty adequate for an 18ft tandem like that.
  12. Just had a look at my G240 and I reckon good old Mr Dremel is your only man to solve the wide track issue. Nip off the two lugs under the mudguard and fashion a new clip for holding the cab in place. I've seen lots of G/70s fitted with Atles wheels, so they must have removed the lugs to make those fit properly. The TSA fronts look very well too.
  13. Another cracking read from Mr Day & Co. Tellarian had a very informative article about Brushwood Toys' farm buildings. I'd love a set of them, but they are a tad expensive. The Deutz article was interesting, as was the Hesston article. Does anyone know what HP the Deutz DX 4.57 was? They article didn't go into detail on the specs of the full range. Keep up the good work Rory!
  14. Nearly forgot: Membership of the LCN is only ?27 yoyos for the year. Might be an idea to join up and get VIP treatment on the day. S:
  15. Have we confirmation of this date? For the benefit of the Irish Airborne Division, RyanAirLite (Aer Lingus) are quoting me 161 yoyos to go in on the Friday night and out on the Sunday night. I'll be having some of that! Info on Hotel pricing shortly. How many intend staying in Amsterdam? If I can block book rooms I might be able to get a discount rate.
  16. I've had this in my grubby little mits, and it's the dog's wotsists. Note the jack mounted behind the wheel, and the two pins it attaches to on the drawbar. Awesome!
  17. Yep. Britains used to do one exactly like that. Siku also have one, but it isn't as well detailed. Here's the Britains one (the pipe trailer variant) and the Siku one
  18. I'd suggest a TN75D chassis (particularly the rear wheels), JQ4020 front wheels, narrowed & shortened "5610" bonnet & grille, and modified 5635 cab (or poss 6635 cab). Alternatively, chop one of your 4 cylinder 10 series! (Only kidding!)
  19. There's a new site under construction, but it isn't happening as quickly as we'd like. We're hoping to have it up early in the New Year. S:
  20. There's a pic on FarmPhoto of a 6 cyl County Look-alike, badged as a Ford 7740. I think it was taken in Turkey http://www.farmphoto.com/fpv2/message.aspx?mid=359263 I can't figure it as it seems to have components from completely different decades, 6X, 6Y, 7A - I'm even thinking E1A. Looks like a case for Nigel Ford!
  21. Stop feeding the buggers until they agree to renegotiate the contract! Win:Win!
