  1. Open a pic in photobucket, and click on the Show Exif Data link underneath it.

  3. ....... or steering brakes! :D Just a little bit excellent there TM! Keep up the good work!
  4. The first silage harvester I remember was a Taarup DC1500 on a Ford 5000, back filling a 6 ton Warren and a 6 ton Twomey. MF65 drawing to the pit and a Ford 4000 buckraking. James F tells me that the the farmer still has the 5000 and it is going strong.
  5. Put the gimp who was driving the Quad-Trac in the YouTube video on the MX and Marky would out-pull him on the 410! But seriously - do you honestly think any Basildon Engineer with a conscience is going to let some red cr4p out the gate which is remotely capable of outpulling the original blue version? An MX is a TM having a bad hair day!
  6. I've often thought about that mod as well. I was going to badge them as Parmiter. I'm also thought of making a set of Kverneland 15ft folding discs from the 70s.
  7. The term 1:32 can be a broad church. I've seen Corgi models rated as 1:32, but to me they are too small. Scalextric are also rated as 1:32 but to me they appear slightly too big. There are Airfix kits in 1:32, but I have never seen one built so I can't comment. There are a number of pseudo-brands selling 1:32 car models, but many of them appear to be first cousins of New Ray. Here is a list of models I am aware of which will work on a 1:32 diorama. I'll update with any additional models that come to light. BMW E36 saloon BMW E36 Touring BMW X5 BMW Z3 BMW Z4 BMW Z8 Mini (original) Mini (BMW) Ferrari F355 Land Rover Cheap (Freelander) Land Rover 88 Land Rover 90 Land Rover Defender 90 Land Rover 109 Land Rover 110 (Siku) Land Rover Discovery Land Rover Discovery II Land Rover Discovery III Range Rover Mercedes ML Mercedes SLK Mercedes C Class Sport Coupe Mitsubishi Pajero SWB (Shogun in UK?) Mitsubishi Evo Ford Anglia (Saico) Ford Escort Mk1 (Saico) Morris Minor Volkswagen Beetle (original) Volkswagen Beetle (new) Volkswagen Convertible (new) Audi A4 Audi TT Alfa Spyder Renault Megane (in the background of some of RenaultForever's diorama pics) Toyota MR2 Toyota Land Cruiser Toyota Rav4 Kia Sportage Honda Civic TypeR Scooby Impreza Peugeot 206CC Opel Speedster (Vauxhall something or other in UK & Belgium)
  8. The name escapes me just now, but there was one featured in Classic Tractor in the past year - actually the story was about an 1884, but the owner had one of those 8210 based dumpers as well. I remember seeing one down Civilpek's way in the 90s.
  9. Yes Marky, it can lay drainage pipe, or comms ducting. All pics hijacked from [url=http://www.dmjdrainage.co.uk/index.php]DMJ Drainage Ltd.
  10. It's a Barth K140. Yet another implementation of the excellent Massey 135 Ford 5000 skid unit!
  11. John Deere and Massey Ferguson make Combines? You've got to be kidding! Around here it's all New Holland and Claas. For me it has to be the 1500 series, followed by the 8000 series (naturally!), although the Claas Senator/Mercator was a great machine in it's day. (The Mercator was a Senator with a Ford Engine - so good it was even sold in the USA as a Ford.)
  12. I had the same problem with the March issue, but hadn't noticed it previously. Don't these Internets make for great feedback channels, all the same? S: ps: Oliver Walston had 6 Schluters, not 4! The last two were bought in 1980 though. pps: If we could have more articles about Classic Tractors (Ford, Fordson, County, Roadless, Doe, Muir-Hill, Mailam, Northtrop, Eva, Nedalo, Bakker Ulrum, Mototecnica Agricola, Stenderup Maskinforretning, Agricar, Etc) and less of these grotty red and green things you occasionally use as padding. ppps: Forgot to mention; Another great edition. Keep up the good work!
  13. It can only be the Ford 5000! They were still making modernised 5000s in Mexico up until very recently - and they may still be making them! This was the tractor that epitomised the revolution in farming in the late 60s and early 70s. Look at all the other tractors that were based on the 5000 - such as the County 654, County 754, County 764, County 852, County 952, County 954, County 974, County County 1004, County 1124, County 1164, County 1174, County 6600-Four, County 7600-Four, County 7700-Four. Roadless 65, 75, 94T. Ford 6X 5000, 6Y 5000, 6Y 7000, 7A 5600, 6600, 7600, 7600E, 6700, 7700. .... and that's before we even begin to look at the 10 series. What about the skid units: EVA, Mailam, County, Muir-Hill, Shawnee-Poole, to mention but a few. Think about it. Can you remember a commercial farm that did not have at least one of the above at some time in the 60s, 70s or 80s? The only thing that can make the hair stand up on the back of my neck like a 5000 engine on full song is a TS-A engine on full song. Basildon built is better built! (Denis and Nigel, please feel free to fill in the gaps )
  14. The new 1:32 Valtra T wasn't at the launch this week, but there was a 1:1 ice sculpture of the T which I believe was awesome. I'm trying to get a picture of it. Hopefully on Monday.

    Ford 7600 E

Oh Deere! Looks like Marky has logged in to Barry's account and is trying to Numpty him!
  16. Here is a good primer of the subject: [url=http://www.ruralgeneration.com/]Rural Generation Limited You can get more information on Industrial scale use of Willow [url=http://www.modernpowersystems.com/story.asp?sectionCode=88&storyCode=2035784]HERE
  17. that pic is of an early prototype. the real thing will have the proper ford grey wheels.
  18. S C O O P ! Mark can't post the pictures! Not sure the full story, but there are rumours that he took a hammer to his computer. (It's a Massey Ferguson thing, we wouldn't understand! ) He apologises to world for his incompetence! (I have let him know that there are people all over the world waiting for him to get his act together!) .... and the world's uncle! He will post the pics when he gets to work in the morning. ("honest guv!")

    Rare County 1162

I know where there is an 1172! I must get a piccy of it someday.
  20. I'd imagine the grain dryers would be a simple enough model to make, and there are lots of dioramas under construction at the moment
  21. Please record the serial number(s) of your Diamond Edition MTX on this thread. 0047 0222 0329 ****** ? ? ? 0389 0503 0941 1018 1226 1295 1395 1470 1534 1777 2103 2186 2211 2312
  22. The Ford 5000! A legend! They couldn't make them fast enough. Followed closely by the ultimate Ford 5000 convo - the County 1174. Take a beefed up Ford 5000 backend, add a detuned Ford 8600 engine, a Hara flat deck cab, and 4wd..... ..... and you get the best ploughing tractor ever.
  23. Don't start me on Irish potholes! But seriously: Here's a pic of a lowloader I was playing with during the summer. That third axle makes the whole outfit so well balanced.
