From side view the bonnet now looks like a ski slope!! So if I wanted to make a decent 7S I have to buy a 5S.145 for cab & fenders, a 6S for wheels & tyres & chassis (which would need to be extended, 7S chassis is same as 7726 which was replaced by 8S!!!!!!) And a 7S for the bonnet if its right as I'm not quite sure if its dimensions are correct. Cheapest option? Buy a CASE 165 they got that right😄 Or buy a 5S remove bonnet and rear wheels. Buy a 6S put its bonnet on 5S (probably same dimension or v. close.) Put 6S rears on 5S and change over fuel tanks steps light indicators etc. What a hassle. 5S fenders are to narrow for a 7S, the 7S fenders are flared
phil phoenix
Nope, 5S wide fenders are the same as the ones on the two 7S. 180s up the road from me. MF offer both styles on their 7S and its predecessors. I would say 30% of all the older 7715-7726S machines in these parts have the non flared versions Paul. phil phoenix
And I took this picture of a 7726S on 710 rear tyres inexplicably on non flared fenders!!

phil phoenix
I think a lot of farmers in these parts of the fens run their tractors on row crops for much of the year Paul, thats probably why they skip the flared fenders. Why pay more if you dont need the wider sets.

Ordered the 6S from my local dealer, wating on the 7S because of the slopey bonnet, or wait until i see how you get over it😂😂 Edited September 14, 2023 by Paul Palmer
phil phoenix
I just noticed something with regard to the 7S sloping bonnet. Look at the red tractor images centre windscreen wiper unit , the bonnet is up hard against it. Then look at the black versions picture and notice the bonnet sits 3mm lower than the windscreen unit. Someone at UH didn't press the red bonnet down hard enough which is why it looks so wrong. The black bonnet from all angles is correct. Just the cab and fenders that suck now😁 1

Jack390
Do wish it had the front / rear linkage like the 6s though , much prefer the front links folded up out the way when not in use

phil phoenix
I enquired at my Massey dealer today, he quoted 10 working days minimum to delivery but £20 cheaper. I want mine now don't like waiting😄 I suspect only MF dealers will get these first Paul, the riff raff will have to wait a month or so.
