What have you been doing or plan on doing today?

Recommended Posts

Been ripping up trees in the garden with the tractor and loader - probably the most unusual load that I have loaded on a trailer :D :D

Isn't it great fun though Colm... did you yank out any big stumps - I had hours of fun doing that a while back for our local allotment society.  Most of mine came out with the rootball as well  :)

Mam said to me it took 25 years for them to grow and your father spent hours trimming them and it only took you a few hours to rip them up :D :D

The stumps were actually surprisingly small - I just yanked them with the loader - then got down and knocked off a lot of clay before trying to lift again - it worked  :D

Second day of first cut silage, I'm on the pit again. Did two pits yesterday with TM155. Today she popped her fourth hose this spring, on the oil cooler this time. So now I'm on the farmers JCB 536, quite a machine it should be said. Like this alot 8) No match for the front buckrake alas ;)

Very busy day at work, mostly chasing after engineers to fix our freezers, chillers and warehouse air conditioning, which one by one just like some of our staff and customers decided they had had enough of the heat today. Relaxing at home now topping up on the Lucozade :)

Manning the support line and I am bored out of my mind as I have taken only 3 calls over the entire day!  Cannot really do anything other than sit and wait for calls and read forum messages! :-\

What are you supporting Sue? We can't have your talents wasted -Maybe I can direct a Citizens Advice Line to your phone - you wouldn't be bored then! Seriously, we have never been as busy as now - that's what I have been doing today and I am now going out to take Cerin to the barbers! I just sit quietly in the corner trying to ignore all the sexist and politically incorrect talk that Jim the Barber spouts!

The joys of being a shovel driver!

Yes I am stacking bales with a shovel! :D :D

you really need to build yer part up luke  ::)

think you'll find shovels have buckets on them , so i'd say you were stacking silage bales with a rough terrain articulated materials handler .

so instead of being a shovel driver i'd say you were a

rough terrain articulated materials handler specialist

Went to a ploughing match today, took my little lad aged 4 he loved it, he has been to lots of shows and around tractors before, but this time he's a bit older and we were right up with the tractors, he was into everthing, no particular tractors of note there (usual grey fergies,135,majors) that sort of stuff, but there was a lovely 6 cylinder Fordson which sounded mint when pulling hard, the ground was very hard. A good day had by all and for a worthy cause, Northamptonshire/Warwickshire air ambulance and for a local boy aged 5 sadly killed in a tractor accident.
