This looks awesome, was the base model for this the Britains Samson Slurry Tanker?

No, the base model was the Samson SG from Wiking. The drawbar and the wheels are from Britains. Some victims were necessary for this project.

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Kind regards
Christoph

Looking forward to seeing this one Paddy, I've always had a soft spot for American farming scenes from that era, usually they involve the other shade of red though;)

Just wondering John if there is any IH's currently available that you think would suit a 60's/early 70's American scene as I would like to include one. I expect most of the Replicagri gear has a European bias? I've got a 644 here but that's about it.

You're right Paddy, replicagri do tend to offer European models, Ertl are most probably your best bet, they do a few ih models from that era, the model numbers escape me at the moment, but I'll have a look later when I get chance:)

  • 4 weeks later...

I bought myself a pair of Kane Classic trailers to go behind my two lovely Massey 3000 series tractors,  all they required was painting the rivets old Ford blue for a perfect match and then the wheels silver.  Some weathering for tractors and trailer will follow in the spring.  3095 pictured whilst the 3120 is still work in progress:)
