Deere-est
Will you have planter boxes in the windows Sean for a splash of colour? I thought the very same thing, Ol and then I thought no, I won't say owt. I'll keep that idea for myself. Then you go and blab all about it!
Deere-est
The tile will be painted and weathered yet though, yeah? It's a lot of work isn't it?! Those tiles I got off of Filius were some sort of clay/cast compound so had all the properties of real tiles - including breaking when trying to cut them!! Took me flipping ages to do that barn with them, never did count the final number on it but I ordered 2000!
Tractorman810
Yeah I will matt them down once all on mate maybe add moss ect to as they are shiney to say the least . As for cutting I can just use a knife or cutters seeing as they are plastic
Tractorman810
well had a bit of free time this afternoon with the other half laid up, so got some more done, total of 403 tiles in this lot, and still got the rear to do, plus i am a pack short to, so best order some more from mandy and a visitor for storage inbetween other bits
Lady Ferguson
Bloomin' heck, Sean you've got on really well with those tiles - must have taken you ages. I have to say they look heaps better in-situ than they do in the packet. I'll see if Til can give me any suggestions for 'toning them down a bit/weathering'. I love the detail on you farm, but not sure I'd have the patience and you've done a first rate job Edited January 2, 2013 by Lady Ferguson
Tractorman810
thanks mandy, did order the other pack yesterday? new years eve, also got the last of my current packs on today as well, another 450 odd on, so the garage is all covered and ridge tiled now, along with 3 layers on the rear of the main house
