jordantaylor
we will be going at the rape in about 2-3 weeks. we did not do any barley this year so we had 260 acres of osr and 280 acres of wheat. our wheat will be ready by the 1st or 2nd week of august if the weather is good, ill try and get some pics of both if im not too busy roaging and milking and other jobs ect... majority of farms round here have already got the barley in wholecrop, unfortunatly i didnt have the camera

I've seen lots of combines being fettled in farmer's yards in readiness recently, looking forward to seeing what's working in due course

jordantaylor
this is when summer starts for me, when the combines get going and there is a nice golden landscape full of dust, bales and lots of machinery
Deere-est
Ditto that, Jordan. I do love the evenings when low sun casts long shadows from bales and bale stacks across the fields. Oh not forgetting the orange flashes on the combine side panels.
Smithy140
yeah thats right Tris, best part of the year by far, its a wonderful sight when theres no wind and the dust just hangs there at dusk.
