Popular Post 844john
I was asked a while ago if I would be interested in making a model of the Ransomes 902, and the more research I did into them, the more I grew to like the look of the combine, so I felt it would be silly of me not to make a pair of them so I can keep one for my own collection! Anyway, a few pictures of progress so far

Popular Post 844john
A bit more progress on the pair with the curved rear section of the body added, grain tanks in place, radiator and a start on the numerous bracings and joints, of which there’s a lot!

Popular Post 844john
Dressing fan case, auger trough and dressing shoe added, along with the main and tailings elevators, and a start on the many chains and pulleys that are visible. A modern combine would be so much easier as everything is covered in!

844john
Thanks for that Joe, they look like they could come in useful, certainly easier than making them out of plasticard!

I actually bought one for a project years ago, But never got around to finishing it, It was for the swing out suction pipe on a Zunhammer Zuni X Trac as they are swung out by a big chain powered by an hydraulic motor, now several years down the line I cannot remember where I put it for safe keeping, and the parts are now readily available 3D printed at ridiculous prices ????? https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace?type=product&q=Zunhammer Regards Joe. Popular Post 844john
Starting to build in the detail now. I’m finding it better to concentrate on one side first and then the other as hopefully I’m less likely to miss something !

I was lucky in that I picked up an owners manual/ illustrated parts guide for a 902 that has been very useful for working out where things should go!
