Late last night I thought I'd check a particular website before I shut down my laptop. Turned out they had an obsolete model I've wanted for a long time but have never seen for sale second hand before.

6 cylinder, 2wd, rare in real life, but there was at least one real one sold in Ireland.

That really pleased me.

Last week I bought a new Claas 990 Jaguar 50 years edition at Mann's of Saxham, and as usual I got exemplary service from the Claas storemen.  What I hadn't realized was that the two staff who have always supplied me with 1 32 model's these past 25 years had just received an award from Claas for their own 50 year's of dedication. The reason Claas have been so successful in the UK isn't just their innovative high performance machinery, its the quality of their staff, especially in the stores department. So well done to David and mark on their extraordinary achievement, it just show's what a great company Claas are to work for.

When I visited Harsewinkel back in February, Claas has a big focus on its people and the fact of it being one of the largest agricultural family run businesses in the world.

I met Eberhard Weller(ex head of customer service), at the private museum and he shared insights and thoughts on the company, from his point of view. It just showed why people stop at claas for a long time.

My dad was a prime example, when he was a salesman for Claas Eastern (Seward).
