  1. That's very good Liam, nice to see you have modified the wiking bonnet to incorporate the decently detailed britains 185 version. Other peoples earlier built 185s didn't have the benefit of the Britains model for use in converting and they just stuck 185 decals on the old 6210R bonnet which doesn't look right. The way you have done it is also difficult and requires nerve and skill as these models are not cheap if you mess it up!!
  2. What I don't get is how huge quantities of wheat has come onto the european markets from Ukraine and yet according to Colonel Douglas MacGregor about half a million Ukrainian men have been killed during this american proxy war with Russia, leaving virtually no one left alive to farm the land???
  3. Whatever supposed wheat surplus the world has it ain't gonna last long, this biblical spell of rain that the worlds growers have experienced since last autumn seems designed to ensure a huge depletion of wheat stocks and a guarenteed famine not far up the road. Virtually every farm around here has flood damaged fields of wheat. The only exception is A.L Lee & Son's who farm over 12,000 acres these days, and they religiously subsoil every harvested potato field as soon as the crop has been lifted. That means every field over 12,000 acres is subsoiled every 4 years, and their wheat crops have no flooding and are looking superb!!
  4. There was a set of black ones on a 2017 Lexion 770 on manns website and I saw a picture of an early 8800 on a low loader heading up north in the uk but that is it.
  5. I just noticed that Marge fitted the Lexion 8900 plus 1275 corn head with the 690 tracks and idlers!!!! Why couldn't they put them on all the other Lexion models?? I think I ve only seen two UK machines with the wider track versions that have been stuck on all their other Lexion releases. Its annoying having to source the right looking track units elsewhere and expensive🤬
  6. They ain't seen nuthin yet!!! The farmer protests are a symptom of a much bigger problem, the world is broke!!!
  7. You should do very well there Hugh. I grafted a wiking front link onto my 185R and it sold for well over £100 on ebay. And then I used the money made to buy the new Wiking 6R.250.
  8. No doubt Claas will commision Marge to do a grey & green wheeled version Jaguar 990 in the near future like this one shown in Italy recently.
  9. Your over powered Smithy😁
  10. Sorry to hear it didn't work out at Case Gav. I have no idea what local market share Case Nicholson's have around their area, but around Ely & district its single figures %wise. I suspect that John Deere, Fendt & New Holland hold over 80% between the three of them, with the rest picking up a few sales each. Good luck with the new job wherever it is.
  11. Thats true, I had forgotten how expensive farm show food stands are, £10 for a limp bun with a piece of flavourless rubber inserted in it🤮
  12. Which begs the question, where's the blue version of the Q305?
  13. Here's the first decent picture I have seen of a new T7 LWB in standard blue (T7.230)with the new decal set. So far there's only been pictures of the Blue Power version, in fact I was beginning to think that NH had ditched the standard blue entirely in the new LWB class, thankfully not as they look very smart in their new clothes🙂
  14. I don't think there's much between Case or New Holland pricing, maybe there was a personel change. Our local Case dealer's rep left for the New Holland dealer last year and he told me recently he has already been told he will get the business from a local contractor who has several Case Puma's. Lots of Fendt's here too and yes they are prefixed "A" usually AE or AU Sean.
  15. Pinched this picture from one of the locals who run several T7 NH's mostly Blue Power and it would appear that last year they had use of a pre production T7.300. This is fast becoming my favourite ever basildon blue tractor!!
  16. A few more from the used stock section and a few from the new stock section.
  17. Good show as usual, some nice kit too. A few notable absentee's, no Bednar, no Macdon header for the CR11 & no food stands😡 Not enough new T7 LWBs either, just one T7.300 with an awful wrapping scheme stuck over the maserati blue........a criminal offence. Other than that it was really good😄 Here's a few pictures, I'm sure other's will share some too.
  18. I was considering buying the new tri axle Veenhuis but its well over £100, then this Joskin tanker came up on ebay for half as much, and its a really well detailed model with lots of attachmens too. I already had the rear implement for use with the UH Volumetra model, so its worked out very well. Will go nicely with the other models on my forthcoming new contractor layout.
  19. I took these pictures in fading light on a Velcourt farm near Bury St Edmunds yesterday of various works going on useing new CASE tractors. New cab versioned Optum 300 and Puma 240, plus 150 on trailer and new 165 on destoner. As this farm always changes its fleet regularly I was hopeful I might spy a brand new style Puma 240 or 260 so I wasn't disapointed. And as their tractors have got ever bigger so has the colosal new planter on the 240s rear end.
  20. Probably. But the pound, dollar, yen & Euro are all heading for the monetary dustbin!!
  21. I remember as a boy in the early 70s buying my daily packet of Smiths salt & shake crisps at the corner shop for 2 1/2 pence, that was the peak of the £pounds purchasing power. It is now all but knackered and a similar packet of crisps in now over 50 pence! So as the sand runs out of the timer faster towards the end its not surprising to see model prices gettingto daft levels. It does beg the question however, how can UH roll out the current crop of very accurate tractor models (except MF 6S/7S) for only £65 each.
  22. No pictures of new models??????????? I don't understand that given how many we had at last years show.
  23. I like the fuel bowser Alex, very nice, where did that come from? You may need to add a few more tractors now to give your bowser more to do😁
