Deere-est
this was in Tesco's carpark I was waiting for them to come out of their space so I could carry on my way, there was plenty of room in front but I could go back to avoid the dozy c@~? as there was someone behind me > > > Ah ha, I see. Insurance can get funny in this case so I hear, being off the public highway \ Have you had any luck there yet?
Rick
just tripped over one of the cats dropping my tea over the floor, my own fault sadly, was slightly mesmerised by the hottie local synchronised swimmer being interviewed on the TV in her best UK swimming team very tight swim suit and nothing more :P just going to re cook a few bits again Anyone know Sue's email address? Ghost
Ah ha, I see. Insurance can get funny in this case so I hear, being off the public highway \ Have you had any luck there yet? to be honest Tris I didn't bother because I paid less than £1k for the car, and although the bumper is cracked and the offside front foglight was broken, it could probably be plasty welded togethor, I work for a used subaru parts specialist so I've already done the foglight, but I expect if an assessor were to view my car they'd probably write it off saying it needed a new front bumper, which with the labour and paint spraying would probably end up more than 3/4's the value of the car, not worth the hassle imho just really annoying the ignorance of some people

BC
The Post Office. The other day I got a card through the letter box saying post "person" had tried to deliver a packet but was too large for the letter box.I phoned the local sorting office to ask if they could redeliver and just leave in the greenhouse. I was told this could no longer be done and the options were for me to pick it up from the sorting officce or have it delivered to my work. Well both options were a no since the opening times of the sorting office did not suit me and at work the receponists are allowed to accept delivers of staff mail. Anyway I have been able to get it delivered to another address so in theory I should get it today ...assuming it does not get lost in the post. I can see why they are not allowed to leave in the greenhouse but it is annoying to think this system has worked for years with me. I assumke parcels that have been left in out buildings etc have gone missing in the past hence their ruling.

I assumke parcels that have been left in out buildings etc have gone missing in the past hence their ruling. This has been the case for many years. My husband was a postman and the standing orders said then that parcels must be returned to the office and not left in outbuildings/wheelie bins/by the back door etc. Nonetheless if he had an "arrangement" he would put packages wherever he was asked but at his own risk! I suspect your regular postman is absent at the moment. At least our sorting office is open until 7:30 pm but Parcelforce leave it "at your local post office". For some reason they NEVER leave it at MY local Post office which is in the next village south but at another village which, without a car, I would be unable to get to! BC
Yes Sue I suspect the regular postman was not on since I did not recognise the writing on the card and well I have had the greenhouse "arrangement"for years. Never minds all ends well since my parcel which was the annual Border Fine Arts symbol of membership figurine arrived safely at my parents address today so I'll get it at the weekend, I am a happy chappy now so no need for me to post in "what pleased you today" ;D

MuirHillyBilly
I was a little more lucky, I had a non sent item and reported it after 2 weeks, I went straight to dispute and got my money back, I'm pretty sure you have to have paid through Paypal for this though
Lord Ferguson
Indeed lee .. I've had two such instances in the past.. Provided you use PayPal and get you dispute escalated in a timely manner then you'll get a refund I'm sure.. Certainly is my experience of it all

Massey Boys Mum
Don't forget too that if you paid by a credit card and it was over £100 you have extra protection. This the link to the Citizens Advice website: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_money/money_management_index_ew/borrowing_money_index_ews/credit_cards_index_ewsni/problems_with_credit_cards.htm#extra_protection_when_you_buy_on_your_credit_card Hope this is helpful!
