Whats on your workbench???

Recommended Posts

been swapping the rims round on the 3050 now sporting much more 3000 style rims, whilst looking these rears seem much more common on the smaller ones than the bigger one uh did,  also sorted a set of narrow wheels for it, just need to sort a simple swapping system for them now

Two projects off the workbench today.

First up is the Farmmodels.nl "mest container".

My first time working with a styrene kit and lots of learning was had.

Some of my modifications include the internal ladder, hand rails, internal bracing, hose bracing, and external filling pipe with ball valve.

The second kit is the 1:32 sscale Aoshima Toyota AE86 Trueno with lights retracted.

The two tone paint and the lights were tricky, and are not 100%.

Lots of learning was had in relation to masking and detailing.

Will do fine as a background piece parked up in the yard as a worker's car.

Also having a go at sculpting, I've done bits with manipulating figures but I'd like to do some figures completely from scratch, so I've started with the heads, the hardest part, some interesting characters have been produced so far

Like the quad trailer James, very tidy, but I have to say, those heads are bloody scary.....they look like they could have been spiked on London Bridge a few centuries ago as a warning to other brigands ! :o:D

Cyril had a photo of 160 of them at Mondello last weekend. Can't remember which thread it was in.

I have the lights up version as well, and plan to get the RX-7 and Nissan Silvia kits too. What silage contractor in the mid noughties didn't have a yard full of Jap imports belonging to the tractor drivers?

Yeah your right. Nowadays its the dirty German diesels that's all the go.  Looking forward to seeing the RX-7..big fan of them ..

Started work on a new board this evening, going to have a field and a track with small field in between, used a cheap plastic trailer to mark out the wheel length and going to add something to make ruts, taking inspiration from the Europeans who seem to have mastered the small diorama, this one is about twice the size of my other but still managable. Hopefully can cram lots of details in :)
