Wise choice staying at home today and leaving going to the Scottish Championship Ploughing match until tomoorow because it is actually nice and sunny here in Drumoak.

Uncovered and second door off and into garage for dad to make and fit the braces

First though he has to cut the bottoms of the door

Purchased a new 3 litre tin of Butinox last night ...2 difference the tin design and the price up again from last year...now £ 37.99

So Mark you can have the Butinox including the carriage to Cambridge for £ 50 if you want ??? ???

looking good bill, amazing how it always seems to be dad doing the work mind :D :D :D :D :D  have you actually done anything on it ,or is it all his handy work ;):D :D :D

Oh you've noticed that too Sean.. I think Bill is the head tea boy on this project... I did see the air ambulance hoverring over his place last week when he thought he'd broken a fingernail whilst securing that sheet of his... luckily it was a false alarm  ;D

Well Mark and Sean it certainly seems that way but dad hasn't moved into the age of digi cameras and he would probably drop the camera so best leave him with the hammer and the saw ;) ;)

Seriously I am the paymaster the go for ( get me this ...get me that ) and genreal dogs body. I do get the good jobs like creosting and staining with butinox though :D The good thing out of all this though is though I'm not a joiner I'm sure I will be able to make a pretty good shed for myself in the future....now where is my pen and pencil set I need to get started on plans for the next one ;D ;D

A very white frost but the sun was out early and it turned out a nice  day for this time of the year

First a rebate done on the backing to accommodate the door lock

After drilling two holes for the key to go through the pad saw is need to cut out the piece in the middle

Center backing lock fitted..one to go on top backing too

Shed is now secure with two locks fitted

Oh I do like shiny brass pieces and now the key hole is finished off with a brass escutcheon

And final job for the day before powerwashing the car was to stain the new wooded and planned parts with a first coat of butinox.

Thanks Rob, Sean and Unkelfergus ( sorry don't know your name ) it is getting there.

Still to fit up the electric sockets and light's and insulate the walls and line them and fit gutters but that can be done after it has been rolled into it's final place.

Getting frostier days now to do the cement work but it is inside the old temporay shed. Next weekend I suppose I really need to get cement , sand and crate and oh a cement mixer.

Week end after is a write off since off to Penrith.
