Haven't done anything to the house for a few weeks up until this week, in the mean time we've been busy on the garage which in between the bad weather is slowly taking shape......

Looking stunning Jason. You did pick a house of just about the most exepensive construction type to do anything with!!!! Both labour and materials must be totalling a small fortune!! Really doing it justice though, looking forward to seeing the shell complete and scaffold down....

I've finally located some roofers who I feel confident can do a good job of the stone roof.......

Looks like you've got the right man for the job, that looks very tidy so far.  ;)

looking good jas, what sort of windows will be fitted then??? i asume woodern ones down to planning regs ect

Single glazed Yorkshire sash Sean.... not ideal but it's a condition on the planning.  :-\

Corr thats a flash house, bet that bit your adding on is worth a pretty penny, does the hosue get very cold been all stone ??

Costs a small fortune to heat in the winter Nick, due to number of factors really.... construction of the walls is one, another major factor is the overall design of the building.... it looks like a chimney and works like one! The slightest draft around a door or window is amplified by the wind blowing over the house and drawing air up through the house... I'm currently looking at alternative heating methods for the house to try and reduce my heating bills.
