What really annoyed you today

PPL is the company... evidently... it's been the law that you need a license for some time now... but as our good old Government have well and truly spent the gold now they will do anything to rake in a few quid. I had to pay mine recently... BE WARNED.... if you say you've had a radio for some time they can AND WILL back date your invoice.

I think public broadcast is a lot more than broadcasting to your staff... I think that after my current 'back dated' invoice I am set to pay £100 per year or thereabouts !

It's for the poor old pop stars.. obviously the mega millions they have already are not enough. I wonder if you broadcast music through speakers that you can pick up freely from the web if the same charged apply ??? .. actually.. I wonder if anyone has actually ever challenged the rule ??? us Brits are great at 'rolling over and playing dead' arn't we >:(

An old chap with a flat cap driving a Ford Focus pulled our from a T junction in front of me and proceeded to drive at 30 mph even before the 30 MPH speed limits. To make matters worse he then indicated right and stopped for an oncoming Land Rover when he could have easily made his turn ...anyway he got a blast from the horn from my car ( just testing it really) and well in someways I'm happy since he held up his hand to acknowledge he was in the wrong ;D

I managed to break the zip on mum's new greenhouse. Clumsy as I am, it's not as if I used any force and it was under strain at the corners. Shoddy thing, it really put me in a foul mood. I hate zips! (and cheap greenhouses) >:(:-[

Trying to contact John Deere. You might as well learn an elephant to use a skipping rope as it would take less time and effort. "Sorry sir but the manager is in a meeting that lasts until friday night." MY GOD has the chap got a fear of making decisions or what? How long does it take him to do his shopping, a month?

*Think of some words that would appear as *** on here but you know what I mean* ::)

Oh and to make matters even more annoying you get their marketing manager on the phone (a 12 year old girl) that goes; hi m8 yeh the big men is not in u now. U better off ringin later, you now wha i'm sayin? Yes I do know what you're saying and it's terrible! Oh dear oh dear.

Sorry about your Deere experience Niels, but that report put a smile on my face!

I was hailed by a driver telling me my rear offside wheel was wobbling, and lo and behold it was (how I missed this I don't know). Got it back and jacked it up expecting to find the axle bearing loose, half-shaft bent or something similarly terrible. Neither seemed apparent so I tightened the nuts and decided to run it in to the local commercial garage, just to be sure. (Nothing). Turns out I solved the problem when I did up the nuts, so another wasted journey.

Well truth is I am bit cheesed off. My wife asked me where I wanted to go out to eat on my birthday.....Burger King, yummmmm junk food...been a long time. So order me fries and whopper...asked my wife what she ordered? "A salad", she said....Salad, huh, that's like going to a cat house for a hug :of Needless to say I dropped a few frys trying to get into her car before she left the parking lot :- When we did get home it was, "enjoy that new book your friend gave you to read in bed tonight".. ???

It does make you grin but it's a sad thing really as that is John Deere's Dutch headquarters responsible for all back-up and sales!

I have got a day off today so I thought that it was an ideal time to service and sharpen my lawn mower which is a Balmoral cylinder type mower.

So, off I went to B & Q who have a large Warehouse establishment about a mile from my house. All that they stock is Rotary mower replacement blades and not the cylinder sharpener.

Little bit peeved but there is a garden centre about another mile and a half away. So off I go to the garden centre, they only have rotary mowers and don't stock any replacement items at all.

Well, I am out and about now so the next call is about 5 miles to a garden centre that regularly wins awards and is classed as the best in the North West.

After 15 minutes walking round I can't see a single lawn mower so I asked a member of staff.

His reply almost floored me. "We don't stock lawn mowers "

Oh silly me, fancy thinking that a garden centre would stock lawn mowers :- :- people obviously don't have lawns in their gardens nowadays, there are too many plastic gnomes.........

OK, so now I still need a mower sharpener so the only thing for it is to traipse right across town to the specialist mower supplier.

Man behind the counter says "oh no we don't stock them, we prefer you to bring your mower in to us for us to sharpen and service it, have you tried the internet?"

By now I have lost the will to live, I have been driving round for 2 hours, been in 4 different establishments and still not got the ruddy sharpener >:( >:(

So I try the internet...........and the first page that comes up is Duttons Mower World............which is where I have just been........... *$£&!!!

Oh don't I just know the feeling. Trying to get curtain hangers for my Glide curtain rails was such an occasion. I DID get them on the internet (arrived the next day) but also spent about 2 hours driving/walking around Andover looking for them in the first place.

An idiotic driver of a 8 wheeled tipper full of earth almost crashing into a rather careful driver in front of me at the Carnie Crossroads roundabout. Lucky for him the roads were dry or I'm sure he was into the car in front. Held me up as well but I think he got the message I wasn't happy at his driving...so called professional drivers they call themselves one has to wonder.

Maybe its just me but If I wanted a lawn mower, I wouldn't go to a garden Centre? Even if they did sell them, which mine don't, I still wouldn't buy one out of them! :-

Theres specialist dealers for lawnmower, its not just a thing i'd pick up anywhere, That goes for spares aswell..
