That’s come out really nice, often see conversions of the bigger nc2500, but I don’t think I’ve seen one of these before. Good job👍

Thanks Jack, yes it’s nice to have a smaller tanker more like what’s around here

Very nice John, if you don’t mind me asking what did you do to make the back door open and close on the hardtop Land Rover ?

Thanks Jack, I ground out a little from inside the top of the hard top so the door sat nice and flush and then it was just a case of drilling it top and bottom and hinging it with a couple of small pins👍

The detail and weathering is unbelievable... Great work John.

Thanks Justin, with a bit of work they don’t turn out a bad little model to be fair, hopefully they’re better than the woeful weathering that Britains did on them😂

All brilliant work, but I really love the Series Landys. Used to have a Series 3 hardtop which I rebuilt with my uncle.

Thanks Simon, I have to confess I’m a Fourtrak man myself, but I remember when I was a kid it seemed like everyone had one of these

Wonderful job all round John, loving the steered axles and propshafts too on the landys!

Thanks James, both of them were just body shells without any chassis so I thought I might as well add a little extra detail as I was building them

Hey All,

I took just want to compliment your work on these models. Really great!

I was wondering though if you would be willing to comment on your photo techniques. You know gear lenses posing the models lighting etc. I remember a guy on flickr who did similar with small scale cars and in different kinds of light using bounce light umbrellas direct lighting and such his photos were so beautiful and real looking.

I do some photography with Fuji gear and would like to try this.

TIA!
