An unusual exhaust set up on that Massey, what engine is in it now?

The original engine was on it's last legs so it now has an engine out of a Massey Ferguson 6180 tweaked slightly to around 140hp. The exhaust was custom made, and it also has an up-rated hydraulic system, larger fuel tank and a front linkage off a more modern McCormick tractor. 🙂

would have said a 6100 series power plant as most of the bonnet seems to be from one, seems weird with a red grill up front mind, not  the normal silver

Lots of 6100 series and 6200 series parts now installed on this tractor. Most of the rear linkage is from a 6290. Thought he might of painted the grill/front cowl the correct colour too rather than red. It's also got a larger radiator now fitted so the battery has been re-located from behind the front grill to a box below the cab door on the off-side. Cab mirrors are off a later tractor too. It's not everyone's cup of tea, a few folk reckoned he was mad to change the appearance of a tidy 3095. But, it had done over 11,000 hours, the original engine was in desperate need of a re-build so when he bought a new round baler with a larger power requirement he decided to upgrade the 3095 instead of look for another tractor to replace it.

I love them Jubilee T7. 270s.. Sexy tractor and looks well with the NH big baler.

Very smart tractors. That particular example was one of two that belonged to a contractor. Tiny bit gutted I never caught up with them baling together before they were sold to make way for a pair of John Deere 6R tractors.

That Merlo in the first photo looks like it knows it has some weight hanging out the back .

Love looking back over photos like this where there was little more time taken for breaks and catching up with colleagues. 🙂
