Nearly finished this... not everyone's cup of tea but it looks a lot better Than the cobalt blue it was. Waiting for some window tint, finish painting the lights then I'm done :) IMG_6099.thumb.JPG.91a55313c0b4e53d99a6c91b00ac407f.JPGIMG_6100.thumb.JPG.6ea80be4d477faedec2f089dfc9e19c2.JPGIMG_6101.thumb.JPG.65cbf50070548e67802a837cc58166bb.JPG

Looks good Ted. What are the boost alloys off?

Edit. Sorry, just seen your reply above.

What’s your process for respaying r.e like cleaning primer etc?

Generally I use a Halfords primer, then paint and then clear gloss lacquer, I use Halfords paint as it seems to give a good finish and it takes to most things and sometimes it doesn't need priming. I'm sure there are a lot better ways of doing it but it works for me :)

Having a go at making a ‘proper’ 6000 series JD backend last night. I cheated and bought the arms and the rest from scratch! A lot cheaper than a Artisan one and more enjoyable in my opinion!

Looking well there Will, a very tidy job! What's it going on, looks like a Siku 6920 skid?

Thank you John. It’s going to be a 6930, i’ve lost interest in collecting a bit of late and find making/modifying to be Moreno enjoyable so I’m reliving some older style conversions (Britain’s/Siku based) and making them to how I want rather than off the shelf!

Got around to do some paintwork today and started making some changes to my mf 362 restoration

Still need a bit of top coat on the other parts and a painted front axle. Then a rebuilt grille and interior details!

No, it's gonna stay as it is I think. I realise the colors might be off, but it's a combination of available paints and what I found to be looking good for it :)

Looking forward to seeing it finished Will, I've always had a soft spot for Siku's 69, it's the model that got me back into collecting when it first came out. I agree totally what you say, I've also shifted away from buying a lot of the new stuff and gone more towards building my own, you can get exactly what you want without having to compromise, and you have the satisfaction of looking at the finished model and knowing that you did it yourself, and any mistakes on it are yours and not from the tooling in China!;)

Just a quick assembly to check on progress now. Need to make and fit something to get the axle fastened, rear linkage is ready, but unfortunately I have an issue with it.

I don't mind re-drilling holes, but if this is the standard for all Artisan linkages I am in trouble as I have bought a load. Parts not fitting (need to lightly force them in place making it look skewed), the top cylinder where the arm suppot are going in was completely filled with resin.

Bit of a set back, especially if I've spent 50/60 euros on stuff that won't work.

Unfortunately I get an upload error every so often so I didn't get the linkage photo up

Having a go at a small sleeper silage pit. Sleepers are from HLT, the same as Sean used on Ash Tree for his midden. The steels are only placed in holes as the base is temporary, I haven't anything thin enough at the mo and I wanted to check measurements etc, quite pleased with it, will maybe weather the steels so it looks like it has been up a long time. Sleepers are very nice, only slight drawback is that they have no detail on the bottom, they are obviously intended to go on the ground but luckily a mate had the brainwave of sticking them together so they can be lifted out in sections and swapped round to whatever angle it's being viewed from.

Very nice mate I’ve had the exact same thing sat on my workbench since January!
