I'll be having three T6.180 Methanes please, although all will have to be re-shod.

Or should I hope that Britains will make this model too? Their T6.180 is much more true to the original than the UH with it's ridiculous wheels.

The 1494 was based on the 1210 and has a longer wheelbase than the 1394 which was based on the 996.

The 1494 was shod on 13.6/38s or 16.9/34s wheras the 1394 was shod on 13.6/36s or 16.9/30s

Joe bought up a topic very recently on wanting to identify the model David Brown/Case tractor like one off these in a pic.  And it raised the point off the 1490/1494 wheelbase being larger than the 1390/1394.. So funny enough here we are again. Are UH up to their old ways again. Is this 1394 a 1494 with a new decal. If so.. Its not accurate and probably the same with the red Commemorative model..

If it was on smaller wheels it would be very close to accurate.

By my maths that’s about 4.76mm. I can’t really blame them for not doing a new casting on that one.

It’s the casting that worries me most as the frame on the 1394/990 etc was smaller - as was the axle. They have the 1/16 990 that they should scale down for the casting - and if they did they’d have multiple other possibilities.   Let’s hope they do get it right.  Otherwise who else will do them?
