With regards to that seller, my advice is steer clear.....and I'm speaking from personal experience

I’ve just seen who it is😆 they probably don’t have the model in stock anyway😬

Long story short Martin, we ordered a model from them for Sam's birthday, Hermes delivered it into our wheelie bin at the end of our road without any notification that it had been delivered, and subsequently the bin was emptied along with the parcel before we knew it was there, contacted Northwest and they didn't want to know, even said we should have put a note on our bin saying not to leave parcels there.....I'm can't wait for when Penrith is back on and i can get to talk to him face to face....

That’s not good at all, I have to say, Shaggy off of scooby doo, our usual Hermes man is always spot on and will stop for a chat now and then, although there was a replacement last year who was apparently getting ladies phone numbers off the delivery notes and sending them inappropriate messages!

I'm guessing that's the thin chap with the slightly unkempt appearance in the small white van? 😉 Yes, he's spot on, in fact he was in on Saturday and we had a chat and he said that the lad who'd left our parcel in the bin has been doing it all over and has been in trouble for it several times already! Apparently, the boss would like to get rid of him, but he can't because he's now on the sick with "mental issues"! As for  northwest, his customer service is appalling, he wouldn't offer a refund or take it up with the courier, and you can't get to speak to him as he never answers his phone so we were left £70 out of pocket. As i say, i can't wait to get him cornered at Penrith....

I wouldn't think NWFM would have bid it up that far. I would like to think if its cheeky price fixing, it is usually done a bit more discretely! Could have been disgruntled customers wanting to plonk a lovely great £500 end of item fee on the account though! Or just two bored individuals having a laugh. Maybe even NWFM having a go at quirky advertising of their business! I bet plenty people have gone on to view the seller's other listings! Either way,  the price is nonsense to the extreme.

Yes that’s the man, I’ve been tempted to write “The Mystery Machine” in the dust on his back door a couple of times but for that other clown it needs to be adjusted to Misery Machine.
I hope you catch up with North West John. It’s easy to hide behind a phone or computer but not so much sat behind a table at a show.
An interesting thought I’ve just come across this morning, as everyone knows there are a lot of tractor scams on eBay, what I didn’t know is apparent here are Facebook groups dedicated to finding such listings and bidding them up to silly amounts to stop unsuspecting buyers falling foul of the scams, there is an average looking TW 25 being bid to over 60 grand... Could the Valtra be a couple of unhappy customers who have been caught out by the seller and doing as Andy mentioned. Would the seller still be charged for the listing if the buyer doesn’t pay up?

I think that's quite a common issue with that seller, and there have been times when they've advertised more than one of a particular item, then you buy it and get a message saying that it's not actually in, will be a few weeks and do you still want it.  Last thing I ordered was a UH tractor, outer box was badly crushed but fortunately the model was ok.

Ahhhits not just me whos had words with him then,  I bought a Replicagri trailer off him recently as it said on ebay he had 2 in stock. He didnt, and 2 weeks later it still hadnt shown up!  So finally I managed to reach him on the phone where he said he couldnt get one, so I suggested instead he send me a Wiking tri axle Krampe for the same money I had already paid and that he could swallow the five quid difference for my inconveniance !!  He agreed, I got the model and I will try hard not to deal with him anymore. Especially after all the above comments.

I really don't know where some people dream up their prices. Two listings for an identical Yaxon Same Galaxy in 1/43 scale (some say 1/41 but who's counting)

One in mint condition and with a box £60.

The other is damaged and without a box £144.....................eh what?

I would have said that the first one at £60 was near to the top of the reasonable range £40-60, the other is just pie in the sky

this is a big price for a model, especially seeing as it was bought days earlier for 595 EUR.
