Popular Post Valley Axe Man
First purchase of 2018, picked up at Leamington by a good friend, one of Andy's PZ Haybobs, out of Ken Davies's own private collection, a slightly different version to the existing one that already lives here in the Valley, this one having been set with it's tines set down rather than up as on my other one. Cheers John i think Ken will know it's gone to live at a good home

844john
Absolutely stunning Paul, it could be the real thing However, I would just like to point out the missing pto guard, I know we've all done it, just make sure its hidden if you get a visit from the friendly HSE inspector... 2

Cheshire Farm Models
Lovely model. Same with me still one here that still does abit on the neighbouring farms for some beer money
Valley Axe Man
Cheers for all the likes and comments, aye still a handy bit of kit to have about in real life, sometimes a 6 or 8m tedder or rake isn't the best weapon to have and there's still a place for smaller and older gear about on farms that still has a good days work in it . Cheers Justin , would be alot more common with a cab, but no doubt there will have been plenty that have lost their cabs over the years to end up on a scraper or to fit under low sheds for bedding up. I know of a couple of cabless examples higher up the country and over the border into Scotland, a 270, and could be a 262 that were both converted to shell type wings to reduce abit of weight so the owner could trailer them to shows legally behind his Discovery.
Valley Axe Man
Not exactly part of my collection but i do have a couple of 16th versions.........Spotted this at Flookburgh yesterday at the Cumbria Steamfair, The tractor measured up by Russell and Brian that they built and based their Nuffield 10/60 on, Un-fortunatley they never reproduced the sliding hubs and long halfshafts on the rear axle but here's KPY 280E in all her glory
Popular Post Valley Axe Man
A little addition, a Spec-cast John Deere 2020 that's been given a few extra's by Andy at Classic, it's had new wheels and tyres all round, new front axle, new linkage, Duncan cab, tool box, seat to make it a Euro spec tractor that we would more commonly see here in the UK, as mentioned there was one of these local when i was mid primary school age, The farm still has a Deere, a 6320 2wd, Great work again by Andy even the tray in the toolbox lifts out Edited October 25, 2018 by Valley Axe Man
Popular Post Valley Axe Man
Also added to the collection at the recent HEMS show at Burnley was Andy's Moore Undrill handy for stitching in a bit of new grass seed, all fully sprung coulters and wheels, Rob Symonds runs one of these behind an 804, reckon the exhaust note and that turbo whistle be pure music when he's got her in the ground and pulling hard

Thanks for the comments and likes lads, Aye Andy done a great job converting the the original Spec-cast John Deere 2020, and the Moore must have taken a bit of work especially to spring it all underneath. Although i'm quite surprised that one of you didn't comment about the missing toplink .... there is one i just not got round to fitting it yet
smithy
Two more lovely models Paul , many years ago I pulled a Moore drill behind my Ford 7600 4wd for a dairy farmer not far away from me reseeding some of his grassland I think he had borrowed the drill of somebody but his tractor would not pull it , the farmer and his dairy herd sadly went a few years back . Thanks for sharing pictures .

Milk used to go to local dairies which most too have long since gone only the big players or hard grafters now make money at milk.....

Popular Post Valley Axe Man
Had these delivered at the Lakeland show yesterday, a pair of Armour silage trailers built by Andy at classic, measured and built off a real Armour trailer owned by good friend to both me and Andy, Mr Ivan Bruce of Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, both feature the working auto un-latching for the tailgate, cracking work again by Andy And as Ivan was over at the show he also brought a little surprise temparary addition to the collection that was made by his daughter for me, (although it won't be about long) as an early start to next months milestone hahaha Many thanks Ivan and Athena very much appreciated
