A Newbern Power Frame! Great to see you building one of these John, that looks ace. Wrote about this one for the 200th issue of Classic Tractor Magazine. It's still being used by a good friend of mine. :)

That’s the one David, I thought you’d recognise it! I remember starting it after I’d seen it in the magazine, but like a lot of other builds it got sidelined. Should try and get this one finished actually, some of those photos will help!😉

Thanks David, they’re brilliant...I’m going to have to get it finished now!

You're very welcome John, thanks ever so much, anytime, pleased I could help. I do have a photo copy of an original sales brochure on these somewhere which I will endeavour to dig out and scan up to hear for you as well. :)

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out Nigel, is yours going to be 4wd?

No John I've tried to cast a new different rear wheel to go on my IH 275 using  the rear centre wheel off a atlas editions Ted 20 and using the front tires off a if Britain's 956 4wd would go well but look at all the flash the mould leaves behind ...might dremmel it off I dunno ha

The 165 I would lengthen the height of a Britain's 135 rear fenders to fit the 165/595 chassis the bad part is how to make a good bonnet and nose  cone  for a 165 the one in the above pick is the best I've seen home made hate a 1080 uh or martyrs farm models 165

Came to the reluctant conclusion that the new UH Dexta was perfect fit for a scraper tractor for the farm, so started this evening to weather it up,just need to get some solid muck to go on hopefully not over do it too much but want it to look right. 243265482_320856549812991_4809657978443973066_n.jpg.49bc2f85d2a983ea2bfae7be8f5187b0.jpg243460297_398233821790696_2587807664899678348_n.jpg.f7b96e001fe5ae37e53148820c78fa9e.jpg

Looks a lovely job mate.  I have been thinking about adding a vintage tractor to my layout (whenever that might appear) and not sure whether to get that one or a 35X.

I have a 35x sat here as well as a power major, but i opted for the dexta as it was a bit older than the other 2 and has a better detailed 3 point linkage and suits better, 35x would have been my other choice but i think this fits better

very tidy zac, mind you i can see some good hand brake turns with those rear tyres 😆 would one of those marge ? yard scrapers fit her better do you think ? or would they be a bit to new looking . there was also someone doing a 3 d printed one on facebook recently

Had a hard life for sure! Shame cant batter some tinwork, i think theyd be a bit new the britains one is a little on the large size scale wise but typical of the 60s era, were they Fleming 3d printed ones? I think i saw them but way to new for me

I've had this Zetor with a missing axle sitting for a couple years now, kind of fiddling about with what to do. I've refrained from models that has no link to real machines so far, but I was toying with the idea of converting it with a County axle. Making it a big forrestry tractor in the end.

Wheels as of yet undecided, but they were a fit in size. Any thoughts on this abomination? 😂

Another 6cyl 40 series Ford 7840, this time on a stretched imber chassis. Just have to decide if I’m going to cast or print the engines for the next few I’m building 4E1684E5-7C8A-4C47-B2B2-59DDF62F0E29.thumb.jpeg.c9d4962118df26d55af0cbdfe4b857e0.jpeg

Looking good! I have one of these sitting on a shelf as well, meant to do a County with it. So far I've found it too much of a hassle to even begin. Dismantled it and put it all back together in the end.
