Whats on your workbench???

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

On my workbench, since the beginning of this year, the AMT-kit of the D8H-bulldozer (from Caterpillar).
Although i'm planning to build it being the D8K, and therefor need to build me the right cab for it.
Until now i make a good progress, being satisfied, but still need a whole lot to do......

Have a nice day!

thats hellish tidy james, clever idea using the latex as well, did you just super glue the tracks to it?.

Yes it glues well with Gorilla Blue Lid Super Glue, I've been using it on the Firewood processor kits for a while, abit thinner than the 1mm rubber sheet I use for mudflaps at 0.33mm so has a nice flex to it.

Bit more done to the trailer, me being me and not thinking things through logically, couple little defects on it including the drawbar that's too short (although it's cold and by harvest it might warm up a bit and get bigger🤣🤣🤣) learning curve still though will get there one day PXL_20230219_191818894.thumb.jpg.76bb2cbcef72c3e8656dd9b32fcfca96.jpgPXL_20230219_190138448.thumb.jpg.9adc03aa6df23e0d7b4b3af26ef9f29c.jpgPXL_20230219_183439297.thumb.jpg.6d7a702f34476a645cb851f5c010663b.jpg

First little stretch of hedge done… quite the improvement from brushwood hedges / clumps of foliage in my opinion. Bit more to be completed in due course

That's looking really smart Jack, works well being able to see sunlight through it, very natural

Another Land Rover on the workbench at the moment. Britians series 3 with new 3D printed pickup roof, grille and wheels.

Will give the mirrors a redesign to get them abit smaller and I need to add a more defined lip to the rim on the wheels so they are easier to paint and keep the tyres looking round. Going to have a go at a soft top too using tissue paper.

Liking that Zach, I should really add this as a kit but I'm not going to get round to it anytime soon
